BAYS 2007-2008/Season Two
Thank you to everyone who made our first season and inaugural concert a success! You may view information and photos from the concert HERE. This fall, we will be adding an additional full orchestra, the Philharmonic , and a string ensemble for elementary aged students. Auditions will take place in August and the season will begin on September 9, 2007. The new season will consist of three concerts. One in November, March, and May. Each concert will consist of new repertoire and students will again be encouraged to participate in the concerto competition for their orchestra. Students returning to BAYS as a member of the symphony will not need to reaudition for placement. Bay Area Youth Symphony's mission is to educate and develop young artists by providing them the opportunity to perform with their peers in a high level musical ensemble environment, while enriching their musical education. Our ambition is to provide the talented students of our communities, the opportunity to become involved in a youth organization that will not only achieve musical excellence, but will also bring forth their appreciation and love for music.
