Attention all Talented Wind, Brass, Percussion and String Students
Beginning in September of 2008, BAYS will open its’ third season. Music students ages 6 – 21 will have an opportunity to perform in the various BAYS ensembles with other talented students from our area. We are still having auditions on August 23 and rehearsal time for this season is going to be from 2:30-4:30 at Clear Lake High School and not 5:00. Bryan Buffaloe will conduct this seasons Symphony Orchestra. For more information, you may view our 2008-2009 Handbook (PDF).
Also, we are asking our local communities and businesses to help support our organization by purchasing an advertisement in our concert programs which will be held on November 30, 2008, March 8, 2009 and May 3, 2009. Please click here for more information.

Concert at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church
Our final concert this season will be at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (Map) on May 18, 2008. The concerts will begin at 4:00 pm. The Bay Area Youth Singers will sing after the prepatory orchestra performs.
Preparatory Orchestra - 4:00 pm
Philharmonic Orchestra - 4:45 pm
Symphony Orchestra - 5:15 pm
Tickets may be purchased at the door. Private teachers and school music directors are invited as our guests with free admission. Additional information can be found here.

Bay Area Youth Symphony's mission is to educate and develop young artists by providing them the opportunity to perform with their peers in a high level musical ensemble environment, while enriching their musical education. Our ambition is to provide the talented students of our communities, the opportunity to become involved in a youth organization that will not only achieve musical excellence, but will also bring forth their appreciation and love for music.
